the repo seems to be down, and at the same time we were doing this on each push to the main branch, which seems to be a bit too much if we wanted to just have the "latest staged" version from https://jakarta.oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/staging

I've noticed the failing builds to update the "nightly docs":
The https://jakarta.oss.sonatype.org/ repo seems to be down, and at the same time we were trying this on each push to the main branch, which seems to be a bit too much for just having the "latest staged" version from https://jakarta.oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/staging there ...
this should let the builds pass and update the nightly docs.
