Hello, My name is Derek. I am new to the technology field and eager to learn and improve on my skills. I currently work as a tech support agent for the carwash industry. I am looking to move into a system admin role. I apprecaite any feedback!

  • 🔭 I’m currently working on a MariaDB project. I used Ansible to create the DB on a Raspberry Pi. I am using Cron to fetch weather data every hour using a free API through Open-Mateo. I use this to fill a database to practice SQL commands.
  • 🌱 I’m currently learning more about automation and how I can use it in my projects or home.
  • 🤔 I’m looking for help with how I can get my foot in the door working on backend projects. I currently work tech support and do not enjoy it as much as writing scripts or coding.
