Image MetaHub Wiki

Image MetaHub is a local-first desktop app for browsing, searching, filtering, and organizing AI-generated images, videos, and audio files.

It is built for large local libraries. Your files stay on your machine, metadata is indexed locally, and the app is designed around fast search, metadata inspection, curation, and generation workflows.

What Image MetaHub does

Image MetaHub helps you:

  • Browse large folders of AI-generated media
  • Search prompts, filenames, models, LoRAs, samplers, schedulers, seeds, dimensions, tags, ratings, and metadata
  • Index metadata from popular AI image generators
  • Organize images with tags, favorites, ratings, collections, and automation rules
  • Inspect embedded ComfyUI workflows and node types
  • Track image lineage for img2img, inpaint, and outpaint workflows
  • Compare images and metadata
  • Reuse metadata in Automatic1111 and ComfyUI
  • Analyze generation habits and performance data when available

Main areas

Local-first by design

Image MetaHub does not require a cloud account or upload your library. Indexing, cache, tags, shadow metadata, and browsing happen locally.

Network access is only used for things that explicitly need it, such as update checks, opening links, or connecting to local generator APIs like Automatic1111 and ComfyUI.

Free and Pro

The core app is open-source. Some heavier workflow features are unlocked with Pro or the 3-day trial.

Free features include local indexing, search, metadata parsing, filters, tags, favorites, ratings, safe mode, image viewing, metadata inspection, Smart Library with limits, deduplication helpers, and local curation workflows.

Pro unlocks generation integrations, Compare View, Analytics Explorer, batch export, bulk tagging, file management workflows, ComfyUI workspace features, and unlimited Smart Library clustering scale.
