Modded 4090D 48GB only reporting support for 32GB rebar

So I have a few hacked 48GB 4090D GPUs that I bought from china for machine learning purposes. They support rebar, but only report support for BAR1 sizes up to 32GB, which is fine for a regular 4090 but is less than the 48GB on the modded GPU. This causes problems for the tinygrad p2p patch which from what I can tell expects rebar to cover the entire VRAM.

Is it possible to mod the VBIOS or UEFI of my board (asrock rack romed8-2t) to support BAR1 up to 64GB? Or is this a lost cause.

Asking here as people over here seem to understand how these subsystems work!

If anything can do this it's NvStrapsRebar though I wouldn't be surprised if you had to modify it in some way to make it work on 40 series GPUs, devs of that project can probably answer it better.

Other option is asking the seller who modded the VBIOS for 48GB about this.
