List use-cases #4
Description
After talking with some community members about archupgrade I sometimes still get the question: "what's the point of the project?"
We should list out the top use-cases. For example:
- Automatic Arch Linux upgrades with no user intervention.
- Upgrade bare metal systems or even containers (ex., managed by
distroboxortoolbox) - Address upgrade issues from archlinux.org in an opinionated way.
- Fix GPG key issues.
- Handle system upgrades even if there is a mismatched GLIBC version for Pacman.
Longer term, we will likely include targets (gaming desktop, gaming handheld, etc.). For those use-cases:
- Transform Arch Linux into your desired flavor.
- Automate building Arch Linux distributions.
- Customize your Arch Linux installation via configuration files.
