This seems to be some kind of connection or negotiation issue. One can look at the kernel logs to see what is happening, what bandwidth and modes the OS deems viable for the display. |

When I initially boot my system, all resolutions and refresh rates show up correctly, and when selected, are consistent with what's displayed in the monitor's OSD. However, when I manually turn off the display (leaving the computer on; no sleep feature enabled) and power on the display later, the refresh rate changes from 120 Hz => 60 Hz and many of the resolution options disappear. The screenshots below reflect the issue (left image is expected/correct) :
System Specs
Host: Mac mini M4 Pro
OS: macOS 26.4 (Tahoe)
Display: 57" Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 (G95NC)
BetterDisplay: 4.2.3 Build 48120
I'm using the latest monitor firmware release from Samsung, however the issue seems to persist across BetterDisplay and macOS releases.
