[Bug] Color mode resets to 10-bit Limited on reconnect despite Configuration Protection being active

The bug
Every time I disconnect and reconnect my external monitor (Samsung Odyssey G6 OLED) via HDMI, BetterDisplay/macOS reverts the color mode to 10-bit YCbCr 4:4:4 Limited Range.
I have manually set it to 12-bit RGB Full Range and enabled "Configuration Protection" (Proteção de Configuração), but the setting is not honored upon reconnection.

How it happens

1. Connect Samsung Odyssey G6 OLED via HDMI.
2. Set Color Mode to 12-bit, RGB, Full Range.
3. Enable "Configuration Protection" in BetterDisplay.
4. Unplug the HDMI cable.
5. Replug the HDMI cable.
6. The monitor reverts to 10-bit YCbCr Limited Range.

Expected behavior
The app should maintain the 12-bit RGB Full Range setting as per the active Configuration Protection.

How does the Configuration Protection menu looks like? Do you have this issue in SDR as well?

Hi! Thank you for the quick response. You were right, Configuration Protection was only active for SDR, not HDR. Enabling it for both fixed the resetting issue!

However, I'm now facing a different challenge regarding bandwidth/color modes:

I can no longer select 12-bit RGB Full Range while running at 120Hz. It only appears as an option when I drop the refresh rate to 60Hz. At 120Hz, I'm stuck with Limited Range, which is a dealbreaker for my design and art workflow as text clarity and color accuracy are compromised.

The strange thing is that I was able to use 120Hz with 12-bit Full Range previously, even after your response, that i had fixed the 12 bit issue (sorry for not giving you the feedback that it was fixed.)

I have difficulty reproducing the issue. Maybe if I could see how Configuration Protection is set up - if other protections are enabled, there might be things that interfere.
