Hi, can you give me an export of Display Information… under the display's Settings page (in the app - see at the top + the export feature - preferably switch the app to English if possible for the export)? |

Hello everyone,
I assume I’m facing the same issue as others here. I just bought a MacBook Pro M5 for work and I’m having the same problem with my Dell 3440x1440 monitor: I’m limited to a HiDPI resolution below the monitor’s native resolution.
Another surprising thing is that if I connect directly via HDMI to the MacBook’s built-in HDMI port, I can get 100Hz, but when I use my Dell USB-C multi-dock it’s limited to 60Hz.
So my questions are: does the M5 chip have the same limitations as the M4/M3/M2/M1 chips, meaning you’re basically forced to get a Pro or Max chip? Or should I consider changing monitors and moving to a 5K2K display instead? I really want to keep an ultrawide setup, but Apple makes this unnecessarily difficult. Also, would switching to a DisplayPort to Thunderbolt cable change anything in my case?
For now the result is still fairly clean, and BetterDisplay is genuinely a great piece of software. But after using the MacBook’s built-in screen, you get used very quickly to the sharpness and overall quality, so I’m wondering whether I should change my monitor, or change my Mac and wait for the M5 Pro/Max models.
