I was connected to my work external monitor (Dell) earlier today and saw an option for my non-main Built-in Display to be turned off when the external was connected. However, with my LG UltraFine, I'm not seeing this useful option. This seems like something that could be done purely at the software level (if X displayed is connected & main, turn off non-main display), so I'm wondering why I'm not seeing the option for the LG UltraFine? |

This option should be under Settings > Displays > Overview > Connection management settings…. > Disconnect built-in display when an external display is connected. You also have a per-display option to exempt certain external displays from this. |

This is perfect and even better than what I was hoping for, thank you @waydabber! Given the sheer number of settings, I often can't find the one I'm looking for. Is there a way to search all available settings, in the app or as online help content? That would help me avoid asking fairly trivial yet impactful questions like this one. |

Yes, I plan to revamp Settings at some point and add search capabilities. I know discoverability is an issue right now. :) |
