Auto applying custom EDID still results in endless loop

I'm using Version 4.1.1 Build 47018, and old version was also same.
When connecting my display, it shows my desktop and shortly it'll black out, then shows and loops it.

When I watching BetterDisplay config dialog, I found that "Custom ordering string" input field, showing "2", shows display name "M27P6" only a moment after a black out.

I'm using EDID feature to decrease maximum refresh rate to support another 5K monitor on MBP w/ Thunderbolt hub.

There might be some kind of confusion - maybe a custom EDID is applied both to the original and modified display (if identity is changing), or something similar. I tried to Reset All Display Settings, Reset App Settings, direct connect instead of via thunderbolt hub, but still it loops.
Is it possible to occur if custom EDID is broken or something else?

It is same display recognized in BetterDisplay but still it loops.

I meant to limit refresh rate so that macOS can use another display (despite bandwidth limitation).
So I created Shortcut.app Automation that launches on display connect + betterdisplaycli to detect custom EDID is already applied or not, instead of auto apply in BetterDisplay.
