First of all, I don’t have any programming knowledge; I only came across yours whilst developing a similar app using ‘vibe coding’. Yours is in a much more advanced/polished state. I really like it – well done. I’m not sure if making changes to yours would be a quicker route than continuing with the one I’m developing. I don’t really know how to use GitHub properly either, but I’d like to learn and make some comparisons. As a former editor, I actually have some very basic requests:

• Customisable shortcut keys
• The ability to collapse the top and bottom timeline bars into separate windows(There should be as much space as possible left for the timeline and monitoring windows)
• The ability to separate video and audio, etc.

Can you clarify the 2nd point more. What do you mean by top timeline bar and separate windows? like detaching it out ?

What I meant was to move the 'Save Project' bar at the top to a different location. Actually, I’ve already given it a go :) I’ve added language support too. What I mean is that there shouldn’t be any bar lines on the vertical axis at all. I’m not sure if that’s too much to ask, but perhaps the positions of the windows could be rearranged, just like in Premiere, It would be great if the windows were resizable.(I mean that the windows can be swapped around.)

This paves the way for editing videos in portrait format, as shown in the example
