Changing analyzer for specific cultures

Is it possible to change analyzer in the examine provider, but only for specific cultures?

I have a client, that has a chinese website, and searching in chinese doesn't produce the desired results. I think I need to use a chinese analyzer to get better results, but is this possible? Maybe if I create my own Examine provider, that then uses that analyzer, and only use that provider for the chinese culture?

I don't think that's possible at all sadly 😢
Analyzers are per index, so in Examine it's not possible to change it per culture, as the index is all documents for example, atleast for now 🤔

I think this is an interesting case indeed. We'll have to discuss it internally, but I think you're both on to something here.

A custom examine provider implementation specifically targeting certain culture(s), and then custom index registrations for said cultures.... could be the way forward. But a prerequisite is that our Examine search provider implementation somehow supports it as an extendable feature (see also #57) - or that the core Examine registrations can be reached after the fact.
