Adding tests from another assembly

I have an Assembly ALib that contains a lot of 'default' tests and a way to adapt to the test library. Is it possible to add tests from other assemblies ala

public static class AdaptionMethods
{
    public static void AddAdaptedTest(BeforeTestDiscoveryContextcontext /*or any other context*/, ITestFrameworkAdapter adapter)
    {
        FrameworkAdapter.AdapterInstance = adapter;
        context.AddTestFromAssembly(typeof(AdaptionMethods).Assembly);
    }
}

This would have to run very early in the lifecycle of the test to be truly useful

Currently the only way is to create a new class that inherits them
