Ideas to use this repository as a base to create STAC catalogs for netcdf / earth system model data to identify converging efforts.
Describe alternatives you've considered
stac-generator from CEDA, intake-esm, GFDL catalog builder, initial work on creating STAC builders.
Additional context
We utilize catalogs for data exploration and analysis of netcdf, and now moving into exploring forecast data from two sources, one of which is HRRR. Great to see this repository and the metadata. Would like to see if the design of this repo may extend to netcdf as well, or grib files from other sources from UFS, for instance.
