Permission to re-host Citywall images with camera calibrations

Dear Dr.-Ing. Fuhrmann,

I’m using the Citywall dataset extensively in my research and would like to help keep it accessible for reproducibility.

Unfortunately, Citywall P564 no longer seems to be available for download from the original TU Darmstadt project page (archived copy: https://web.archive.org/web/20211028170903/https://www.gcc.tu-darmstadt.de/home/proj/mve/index.en.jsp). Would you be willing to grant permission for me to publicly re-host the Citywall images together with the corresponding Bundler output (bundler.out camera intrinsics/extrinsics) as part of a publicly released dataset?

If you agree, I will:

• clearly attribute the original source (TU Darmstadt / your group),
• include the citation(s) you recommend and any acknowledgement text you prefer,
• apply any license/usage restrictions you specify.

I currently plan to cite "Fusion of Depth Maps with Multiple Scales", "Floating Scale Surface Reconstruction" and "Multi-View Stereo for Community Photo Collections". Please let me know if you prefer other citations.

Hi Nikolai, if you have the resources to host the Citywall dataset, you are more than welcome to do that. The page also contains a few more datasets you could host, if you want to. Achteck-Turm, Der Hass and Reader are also decent datasets, it would be a shame if they get lost.

Please go ahead, the citations and attribution you suggest are great. If you could add "MVE – A Multi-View Reconstruction Environment", that would be fantastic (it's also on that page). I don't think we have to apply any license/usage restrictions to these data sets.

Yes, I also have backups of the other datasets, and I’ll publish those as well.

Once the datasets are online, I’ll post the link here. Most likely, this will be in June.
