Revolut Business v5.66+ Detecting RootHide

Hello,

I have followed the instructions here: #106 (comment) but the app still detects RootHide.

My details:
iOS Version: 16.3.1, iPhone 14 Pro Max
Jailbreak: RootHide Dopamine 2.4.5.21

This started happening when I updated to Revolut Business version: v5.66

Version 5.65 works fine, but during onboarding it checks that the latest app is not installed and does not let me proceed, see snapshot below:

Since blacklisting this app in Roothide manager, disables tweak injection (if I understand correctly), I can't spoof the app version with a Tweak :(

This is getting much further during the on-boarding!! Thank you.

At the moment it crashes at the point where the app asks you to take a photo to verify identity. I have tried clearing the app data from within RootHide (long pressing the app), but it still crashes.
Could you please advice?

2: reinstall the app from appstore
3: zip and upload /var/mobile/Library/Logs/CrashReporter using Filza

Done all 3 steps:

1. Rebuilt icon cache in TrollStore
2. Reinstalled Revolut Business from the App Store
3. CrashReporter logs attached below (RevolutBusiness only)

No new crash log was generated after reinstall — the most recent RevolutBusiness .ips files are from Mar 25 (before reinstall). I went through onboarding again and it still closes at the photo/selfie verification step.

Crash log analysis (RevolutBusiness-2026-03-25-180849.ips)

The crash appears to be intentional self-termination, not a real crash:

• Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) at 0x0000000000000000
• All registers zeroed: PC, LR, SP, FP, x0–x28 are all 0
• Empty stack trace on the main thread (no frames)
• ESR: "Instruction Abort, Translation fault"

This pattern (zeroed registers + jump to NULL + no stack) is a deliberate anti-tamper technique — the app wipes its own execution state to disguise the detection as a random crash. The active threads at the time of the crash (CoreMotion, ANEServices/Neural Engine, CoreMedia) suggest the detection is triggered by the face verification / identity SDK when the camera initializes, not by Revolut's own code.

Could you advise on how to proceed? Is there a way to bypass detection within an embedded third-party SDK?

No it doesn't. But there are other apps as well that start detecting JB in non-jailbroken state (e.g. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/santander-mobile-banking/id482973524)

Hiya,

I tried this on both Revolut and Revolut Business latest versions, both crash at the time of taking the verificaiton selfie. The Santander app also detects (and clearly says that it) the jailbreak. I tried this after deleting and re-installing the apps. No joy

I tried again. Sorry but no joy, the app still closes at the time of selfie verification.

However at least in the Revolut ( not business) app there is now a crash log at /var/mobile/Library/Logs/CrashReporter
