Does it make sense to have something like a folder similarity index/detection or is it too nuanced?
Something like:
Folder
Identical common files
Total files
Total size
path_A
1852
2064
78.4 GB
path_B
1849
2050
78.3 GB
path_C
1848
2157
78.4 GB
I have some folders usually from failed syncs for whatever reasons (could be rsync, or from an online service).
I do not easily know which one should I keep, because I do not know which files of them are the corrupted ones, the slightly newer or which ones should I keep, in any case.
"Select custom" filtering on path helps, but perhaps the folder detection gives more informed decision on the right path, because some times what ends happening (skill issue, I guess) is that I delete some from folder A, some of folder B, and eventually merge them.
Now, I check the checksums of all and when I find differences I check the individual files to see which folder I actually want. Or, I just decide the files are not that important and go on with merging/overwriting the folders.
