Audio Stem Splitting feature? #815

Hello, I just wanted to take a moment to say how much we appreciate FreeShow. It has been an incredible tool for our congregation, and it’s now our primary presentation software for services. I’d love to share a feature idea that I believe could add significant value: the ability to split audio stems, similar to what Virtual DJ offers. This functionality would be especially useful during moments of transition in a service. For example, when a song is playing and the pastor begins to pray, being able to lower or isolate the vocal track would allow for a much smoother and more natural shift into prayer or meditation. I previously relied on this feature in Virtual DJ, and it worked very well in a church setting. However, with some of their newer updates (such as Soundbit playback), it has become less suitable for our needs and has occasionally led to awkward interruptions during services. If this is something your team has considered—or if there’s any way I could support or contribute ideas toward it, I would be more than happy to help. Thank you again for all the work you’ve put into FreeShow. It’s truly made a difference for us. Best regards, |

Hi, thanks a lot! I think it's not very feasible at the moment as it would have to use AI. I think the better option would be to just use an online splitter, then import and play both tracks, then clear/lower the volume of the one track. |
