Good Afternoon! I am trying to figure out the best way to record this in CHUMs. We have a change of pastorship coming and as a result several of our members have resigned/no longer wish to receive communications from the church. It would seem appropriate to have a "Removed" option available in the membership status, so that donation records, notes etc are preserved, but they can be filtered out when exporting the email list to our email provider. I'm hesitant to just delete their name from our system because it loses the notes associated with a record. Removed seems to be general enough it could be used for deceased members, as well as those who reach out and ask to be removed from church communications and attendance. And would allow us to keep our notes about the person or circumstances in documentation in case things change. |

Sorry I failed to respond here. That feature was added a few months ago. There's an "Inactive" membership status now. |

Hi there, thanks for getting back to me, I realize I didn't do a great job explaining in the first place. Our church bylaws has a category for inactive members so I have been using inactive for keeping track of that status, this would be in additon to inactive. Needing something explicitly for "do not contact"Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
