Feat: Ad-hoc Command Execution

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, administrators have to use predefined tasks to execute commands on devices, which is not ideal for ad-hoc command execution and immediate feedback.

Describe the solution you'd like
It would be beneficial to have a dedicated tab or option in the OpenUEM console that allows administrators to access the terminal of a device directly. This would enable them to execute commands and receive immediate feedback without needing to set up a task or connect to the device.

Describe alternatives you've considered
The current alternative is to create a task for each command execution, which is cumbersome and not efficient for quick, one-off commands.

Additional context
This feature would enhance the usability of OpenUEM for administrators who need to perform quick checks or troubleshooting on devices without the overhead of task management.

Hi @Ruimmp, I understand your point of view, and it is my desire to have a way to run ad-hoc commands on remote agents.

My idea is to use SSH to run commands which should be possible in a LAN if I find a library that can help us to have an interactive terminal in the console, as openuem agent has an embedded SSH server used for file browsing. But if your computers are not in a LAN that would only work if either you have a VPN (using Netbird for example) or I include a way to have integrated tunneling for these commands.

Hi @doncicuto ! Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for your detailed response.

I do think this could be a useful feature for administrators in general, being able to run commands and interact with a device without needing to connect through something like RDP would be really convenient.

Regarding devices outside the LAN, that makes perfect sense.
