php 8 explode error

under some circumstances on php 8.0 we can get this error:
explode(): Argument #1 ($separator) cannot be empty
I already fixed this i will make pull request soon.

Hi guys, is this plugin still maintained? I've got a couple of installs that still use this plugin and upgrading to PHP8 is not possible now... How do you guys tackle this?
