You can use a single quotation mark (') instead of the REMstatement.
But it's not possible to type it in the IDE.

just tried it in FS-UAE, works for me without any problems.
maybe a keymapping issue?

Here it's the same in FS-UAE with german keyboard.

I think now it is because of the "dead acute" in german keyboard.
With "american" keyboard (Amiga prefs) it works because the acute is not a dead key there.
