Runs on Mint 21.1 Cinnamon without errors, but doesn't change the background

Hi,
as the title says, no errors, but no functionality either.

My system uses Linux Mint 21.1. Cinnamon desktop with X11. Has anyone managed to get it to work on a system like this?
