Following #270, it seems current HEMCO standalone reads LAI from meterology which lacks interannual variability. To help with offline biogenic VOC and soil NOx which only relies on total LAI but not much on each landtype, I sum up all landtype in Yuan_XLAI/v2021-06 and generate a 2D total LAI field Summed_Yuan_proc_MODIS_XLAI.025x025.YYYY.nc.
As pointed out in Weng et al., 2020, interannual variation in LAI has only within 5% influence on global emissions. Nevertheless, it would still be great to have Yuan-LAI in HEMCO standalone.
