[Bug]: Custom homepage ignored in 2.42.1

Steps to reproduce

Hi, I noticed that the custom homepage I had set using an extension is no longer applied with the newest version of Iceraven, 2.42.1

To reproduce, install the extension: Essential Buttons Toolbar and Homepage (it's great) and in Iceraven set the homepage to 'Custom Homepage' and use the URL of the extension's homepage.

This worked fine in previous versions of Iceraven.

Expected behaviour

On pressing the home icon or opening a new tab, the extension's homepage is opened.

Actual behaviour

The default homepage is opened.

Related: the option to set homepage as new tab in Iceraven Labs cannot be changed.

I have tested some other URLs for the custom homepage: https://www.startpage.com and about:processes and these also did not work.

(As a workaround I have saved the extension homepage as a shortcut, for now.)

I did mention that in the original post :P

I could not turn it off, but at some point (I think after the browser was put to sleep? or maybe after a reboot) the option is now disabled. Now the custom homepage works when pressing the home button, but not when opening a new tab using the tab counter.

Perhaps one of the new tab extensions will work in Iceraven 🤔 edit: no!

me too. i can't change my homepage. I initially thought there was something wrong with the homepage itself because my plugin's homepage didn't work either, but even when I set it to bing, it still doesn't work
