Plex: fliter based on file location

I am using Agregarr to download placeholder videos. It downloads trailers into /a/folder that plex monitors. Does the API expose the file path? is it possible to exclude watches from /a/folder from being scrobbled and added to history?

Hi,

No we dont do anything with folders, we just communicate with the Plex API and for scrobble - watcher we use different methods.

But did you set your whitelists? cause if you only enabled history/ratings/scrobble for these libraries wont these agregarr items are ignored?

nope. They're part of my Movies and TV libraries. I know another package was using folder blacklisting, and i believe it was using the plex api to get the information on what to ignore. If that information isn't passed along, then there is nothing that can be done :)

… Yes, it does use the Plex API. The metadata response for a media item includes the file location as Media[].Part[].file, from there I compare it against a regular expression. Is this for an app other than Seerr?

From @Rubeanie when I asked about what he is doing in this pr. Solving a similar issue by blacklisting plex media by path.

I know the metadata container has all the information in Plex, but CrossWatch is a multi mediaserver and tracker solution. That means if I implement something like this, it also needs to work for Emby and Jellyfin.

This would be a fairly large change that could affect multiple layers of the application, including performance.

Please create a feature request You can reuse most of the information that was already included in the PR you sent me.

I cannot make any promises yet as i need to do a impact analyse first.... and I will not be starting on it immediately. So please be patient.
