we’re getting there, slowly. still a long road ahead. syncing tracker → media server? only makes sense for watchlists. for history & ratings, go player (Plex) → tracker (SIMKL/Trakt). As trackers cover way more titles normally than you actually have in Plex, so pulling from them just dumps extra noise. Anyways, this scenario is not well tested yet, so im not sure how it will react. If you do it, make a backup. And thats also a little bit problematic to have good backups of your history in Plex...... Long story short, yes if it can map the items on SIMKL on your Plex it should be get the status Watched... Enable debugging in Maintenance -> On - including mod debug and look in your Container console whats happening exactly. Again, i dont advice doing this, mainly as SIMKL is still experimental and that means limited tested. |

Confirmed and reproduced: Plex was asked to mark a movie using a stale internal ID, and our too-narrow lookup missed the actual item when the metadata didn’t line up. I fixed it by validating IDs, adding a server-wide lookup, and sending authenticated scrobbles, so SIMKL -> Plex now finds the right title and marks it watched...its still based on best-effort I've updated two files in the repo /providers/sync/plex/_common.py and _history.py you can either pull that into your current image/container or wait until i create a new image v0.2.7 (probably within 2 days) Before using the new updated files or v0.2.7 (when available) go to settings -> maintenance -> Clear state. ... are just hit all the buttons.. all good. |

Updated to .28 today and history from simkl to plex still isn't working. Looks like it isn't seeing my simkl history. [PLEX:history] index size: 1527 (ignored=0, since=None, scanned=1531, workers=12, unique=969, user=********) |

Hi,
Just installed the software and it is fantastic! Am I understanding the functionality correctly, that if I sync history one way from SIMKL to Plex and I have marked a movie as seen in SIMKL, after sync, Plex will now mark it as watched?
