Stacked timeseries chart with multiple same data names

Hi there, I've been trying to do a horizontal timeseries chart where I track status changes throughout time e.g.

Status A (5min) > Status B (10min) > Status A (51min) > Status C....

TLDR; track status duration and display it in sequence, while categorizing the same Statuses in the legend.

The issue I'm encountering is that when I do this is the same data names will overlap, they do not show in sequence, and it will take out all the names I put in, even if they are the same, as different colora/categories in the legend.

Anyone had such a use case?
