across the full trail network (coastal vs. inland routes)
- SNWD data missing for some years; loose criterion used as fallback
- Sentinel-1 repeat cycle ~12 days: post-event scenes may miss peak signal
- 2015 SAR data uses HH/HV polarization (not VV) — excluded
- Seasonal confounders: May/June comparisons vs. October baseline include
spring phenology signal (snowmelt, bare ground) in delta_VV
- Recovery time analysis limited to 12 events to limit API calls
