We would like to propose contributions to the project, and will of course follow the contributions guidelines, sign the CLA etc.
I have however a question on how the copyrights of the work is managed in the project.
While the Apachev2 licence is clearly identified, I could find no trace of copyrights in the source code or documentation.
A good practice (explained for example by the REUSE project - who also propose tolling to automate this) is to include a header in each source file with the licence and copyrights of contributors. It is also possible and for this project maybe easier to refer to a CONTRIBUTORS.md with a list of contributors.
I have two questions:
- would it be OK to include licensing and copyright informations to the source code files .
- is it OK to include our own copyright information in the new files we plan to contribute ?
