This is probably because the extractor you're using is slow. Try PeaZip and see how fast it speeds up decompression. I tested it against the Windows 11 24H2 zip extractor and it's much faster. In Linux land, PeaZip seems to perform faster than Ark (default file extraction tool in Fedora KDE)
