Coreservices failed to start

Having an issue hope you can help... Failed to install because this crutial process failed to start. I've tried tro downgrade versions but to no avail and now the program is unusable to me. Please help thank you for your time.

I struggled with a similar issue on Mac mini M1, running Sequoia, when copying the app into Applications dir.

Cores monitor (and service) did start initially when running 0.38.0 straight from the DMG; my primary issue was failure to connect in the Remote monitor app on an iPhone 18. Did a bunch of trouble shooting this morning. Here's a full breakdown:

Platform:

• Mac Mini M1 (Sequoia 15.x) - FAILS completely (even DMG mount)
• MBP M1 Pro (Tahoe 16.x) - WORKS perfectly (v0.38.0)

Cores versions tested:

• iPhone: 1.30.(7)
• Mac Mini: 0.37.0, 0.38.0 (both fail)
• MBP: 0.38.0 (works)

Symptoms:

1. Cores UI launches but shows "Cores service is not running"
2. "Launch service" / "Restart" buttons do nothing
3. iPhone connects via code but hangs on "loading" screen forever
4. No TCP listener despite remote enabled

$ lsof -iTCP -sTCP:LISTEN -P | grep cores
[output empty]

$ ps aux | grep coresd
[output empty]

5. Only Unix socket appears: /tmp/com_levminer_cores_si.sock

Network confirmed working:

• Same subnet, firewall OFF, LAN scan sees both devices
• iPhone monitors Windows PC fine with same Cores setup
• Hardwired Mac Mini + WiFi iPhone

Key observations:

• Works from DMG mount initially, fails after copy to /Applications
• Sequoia appears to kill service (sandbox/daemon crash); but Tahoe fine

Steps tried (all fail on Mini Sequoia):

1. Fresh DMG → Applications install → permissions → Launch service
2. v0.37.0 stable + v0.38.0 alpha
3. Gatekeeper bypass, SIP checks
4. In Sequoia Full Disk Access granted, xattr -cr applied, right-click to Open performed
5. log stream shows no bind attempts

hi, the mac version is still a little experimental and 99% of users are on Windows so I can't dedicate much time to it.
Cores is signed so no gatekeeper or SIP bypass is needed (I think)
