Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-5

This 5" screen looks like it would mount nicely into a 3D case and look good on the wall!
I'm not seeing any mention of support so I guess I'd need to buy it and try compile my own version of openHASP to work on it or at least tinker with the display settings?

So far I haven't seen this device configuration being shared. Indeed you will need to create a custom configuration for this new device hardware.

There is a similar configuration for the 4.3" and 7.0" from Waveshare in the repository. With some luck, you might be able to reuse parts from that config. It all depends and the hardware and pins used, if they are compatible or not...

This needs to be tested. If you're planning on getting this device, please share.

I can't find the 7" code as I've been having some artifacts on this device and having to switch between memory modes without a solution.

Although I was told that there is a precompiled firmware for the 7''-Version, none of the waveshare-files fits for the 7''-Version.

I have the 5" working, except for backlight control. Admittedly, using some aid from Perplexity to figure out the display timings. When I find some time, I'll put in a pull request, but for now, in case it helps anyone, here my ws_esp32_s3_touch_lcd_5.ini:
