How to exclude a tag from recent posts section in Easy Blog theme?

Hi evereyone,
almost everything is sayed by the title of this post! ;)
i am working on a new website using the Easy Blog theme.
I would like to exclude a certain tag from the recent posts section, so that it is only displayed in the "editors picks" section. is there any possibility to do this?
i am rather a designer than a "techie", thus i would like to aks before i spend hours and hours ...

you are rigt, i am sorry!
i simply did not see the option to exclude posts from homepage, which can be found on the upper sidebar on the right when writing a post. this did the job for me.
