Not clear if we can use the same HWW with multiple phones at once.

Describe the new feature or improvement you would like to see in the Envoy mobile app.

Usually when doing (+) to add a device I'd expect "add an existing HWW" but all I get is "Set up a passport device" which to me means "Setup from scratch new keys in the HWW"

So there's only one + option and it doesn't tell us what steps to do to get that QR code from the HWW.

Hey @nostitos - in short, you can't currently use one Passport with two phones simultaneously. You can always go to Settings, tap the first Connected to Envoy/No Connection to Envoy button, tap Disconnect from Envoy and Continue in the modal, then scan the static and dynamic QRs from the other phone after having tapped "Set up a Passport Device". This is in the backlog, but it is not planned for the near future I'm afraid.

Regarding the wording, both of those options "Set up new Passport" and "Set up existing Passport", would end up in a camera scanner, since what you need to do is essentially the same, scan a static QR code first. Splitting the path to merge it in the next screen essentially. So we just decided to merge both of them into a single button to remove that redundant choice, thinking the added value to having two buttons is really low. However, you are right in that we might be able to make a better job at communicating how to pair an already existing passport, I will open an internal ticket to look into this - thank you!

I'm assuming a lot of customers would have been used to other hardware wallets, AFAIK only the Bitkey can't be added to many devices.

In some way that's a main benefit of a hardware wallet. To not have to trust and use it on any host.

There might be even more demand to use between laptop and phone.
