Announcements

N+1 Fork (Glamsterdam)

• Made decision on adding PTC cache to state. Going with 3 😱
• Spec mostly stabilizing
• Likely no builder flow in devnet-1
• devnet-0 kinda died from the withdrawals and WOHOOO we were the only ones to handle everything and we kept it alive!!!! 🎉 🎉
• Still no timeline for devnet-1
• still working on network process workflows
• working on unknownBlockInput case for sync
• PR open for req/resp. Still under review
• Rahul is looking at EIP-8061 and will implement and work with the Testing Group and Francesco to hammer out spec tests

Non-Fork Protocol Features

Fast Confirmation Rule

• no updates and ready to go

• perf is good and ready to go

• some spec changes but waiting for spec stabilization before final review

• discussion surrounding safety threshold for consensus

• new website was launched https://fastconfirm.it/

• need to get lodestar on website

• branch is ready for review (NC and Cayman can review this week, or possibly next week)

Partial Messages & Cell-Level DAS

• threw away old impl and re-implemented
• working on full feature parity with lighthouse and prysm
• libp2p spec was merged
• consensus spec is under review and will be merged soon

Binary Engine API (SSZ all the things)

• Have two PRs up and need to reveiw
• Bing is pushing this forward

Execution Proofs

• Getting closer to implementation PRs
• integrating with spec process on break out calls
• Bing i pushing this forward
• existing PR for zkEVM is feat: SSZ-REST Engine API transport #8994

Other Features

BLST

• Found memory leak and might be a bug in zapi
• applied fix and redeployed to let metrics soak
• Nazar will look into the JS impl changes on BLS worker pool and passing validator index through so can pull deserialized key directly from the cache

Flat-Files for Data-Columns

• will re-engage and try to get this moving again this week
• ready for review by @lodekeeper. will let soak and do a metrics analysis when we are ready
• ready for redeploy on a feat group

Zig Roadmap

• completed the remaining features of the proto-array built out the fork-choice store
• working on core orchestration of fork-choice
• will look at benchmarks from Zig vs JS for fork-choice
• welcome to the team @lodekeeper-z
• roughing out the full LodestarZ
• Rahul did spec research for state-transition updates in state-transition-z. Will implement this week
• Jeff is looking for a review on the fuzz work
• Review cycles on struct storage optimization in tree view
• Stuff to get done before can merge state-transition-z
  • Need to add CLI flag for beacon state view in lodestar
  • Need to finalize/test the publish workflow
  • Need to freshen the zig side of the BeaconStateView interface to match the JS side
