Announcemnets

N+1 Fork (Glamsterdam)

• Tuyen approved fork-choice PR, Nico and Cayman both also reviewed and added several comments
• Will test impl against Kurtosis with Prysm and Lighthouse this week
• Goal for this week will be to get things fully compatible with Fulu (fork-choice, PayloadEnvelopeInput)
• StateCache is next
• Timeline for devnet-0 might not be this week so maybe next week is possible but will wait for next ACDT
• Looking at merging existing PR but team thinks is better to wait until devnet is announced (maybe earliest next week)
• Tuyen worked on another PR that is ready for review

Non-Fork Protocol Features

Fast Confirmation Rule

• performance issues identified last week and worked on regressions this week. under testing

Partial Messages & Cell-Level DAS

• need to get libp2pV3 deployed to beta to see metrics and PR is ready for review. Nico and Tuyen and raised hands to help

Execution Proofs

• Impl works but no work done this week
• Some spec have been merged and there is still mushyness in the spec that needs to be hammered out
• @spiral-ladder is interested in pushing the research front

6-Second Slots

• Branch with working implementation
• Prysm has POC but they are not complete, not doing state update correctly nor calculating rewards
• No interop yet though but notified EthPandaOps about our impl so other teams can check implementation against ours with interop
• Need to be rebased on top of Gloas, currently built on Fulu. Work TBD

Other Features

BLST

• There is a pretty serious perf regression.
• Working through challenges but cannot merge yet
• Nazar has PR up related and ready for review lodestar-z against @wemeetagain PR

Flat-Files for Data-Columns

• Was running on feature group and got swapped out. Needs to be redeployed, maybe to a no-group
• metrics look ok, is heavy on disc. need to optimize after first review
• needs thorough review by team
• ready for review by @lodekeeper. will deploy and tell him where it can be found

Quic

• Found the segfault in Socket::Write
• Some updates were made to improve performance

Segfault Discussion

• Seen a couple of segfaults related to LevelDB
• Might be time to swap for RocksDB

Zig Roadmap

• Not much forward movement on state-transition this week, BLST is a blocker and critical path. Need to get that figured out first and merged into Lodestar
• Fuzzing work done by Jeff and working towards a PR in the next week
• Need to look at a Fuzzing program to be comprehensive for Zig work. Can develop a plan of attack
• finalize review for state-transition related bindings (Nazar to step with Bing and Jeff and will help flush this out)
  • state transition bindings PR needs touch ups but wont happen until after blst-z
  • metrics bindings needs touch ups but wont happen until after blst-z
• BeaconStateView has some merge conflicts but will get fixed up this or next week but ePBS takes precedence
  • need to come back after ePBS
  • some performance regressions but can revisit after devnet-0
• Kai worked on some fuzz testing also. Great opportunity for collaboration on approaches with Jeff.
• IO implementation for Clock is working and feature complete
• Kai to starting to work on fork-choice-z

Devops/Infrastructure

• Vault is no longer needed for deploying to dev servers
• Working on getting bots access to the hosts
• Project Butter is up for discussion and we are going to push it forward
• New repo created for dev servers lodestar-ansible
• PR for modernization and server lifecycle under review
• New account made for our VPS that we have full control over
