Is it possible to add the PS4 trackpad as two buttons rather than one?

When I use my controller through Steam, the trackpad registers as two buttons, one on the right and one on the left. But when I use AntiMicroX or AntiMicro for unsupported games, the whole thing registers as one big button. I really need the added keybind. Not asking for anything fancy that would use the actual touchpad style functions, just the extra button that ought to be there. I'm not sure how I would go about separating it into two buttons myself.
